Rebecca Carney

Quality Assurance Manager

Rebecca Carney is a Quality Assurance Manager with the Center for Child and Family Studies. The Quality Assurance team engages in a review of child welfare services to provide feedback and assistance in the development of a Continuous Quality Improvement Program, while assessing outcomes for children and families engaged in the child welfare system. As a part of the team, Rebecca is responsible for directing the work of the Quality Assurance Reviewers by providing daily supervision and guidance.

Rebecca has over twenty years of child welfare experience in South Carolina with a focus in foster care, adoption, and innovative program development and implementation statewide. Rebecca is certified in multiple evidence-based programs to include Strengthening Families Program; Motivational Interviewing; and Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Preparation and Recruitment Strategies. She began her career in the nonprofit sector and is a certified grant writer.

Rebecca received her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1990 and her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1995. Rebecca is a Licensed Master Social Worker.
