SC Citizen Review Panels By federal mandate, all states must maintain independent panels of volunteer citizens to evaluate their child protective services systems. On behalf of the SC Department of Social Services, The Center facilitates Panel activities, providing administrative and technical support.

Foster and Adoptive Parent Resources These publications and resources are designed specifically for foster and adoptive parents.

GOALL Go Out And Learn Life is a statewide advocacy and advisory committee composed of youth who have experience with the foster care system. 

SC Connecting 4 Kids The Center is evaluating this family finding and kinship navigator program being implemented by SCDSS.

Families First CCFS is conducting an evaluation of the effectiveness of the South Carolina Family Group Conference model in this SCDSS collaborative initiative.

Successful Adolescent Adoptions Through interviews with adoptive parents and adoptees, we have discovered some of the factors that contribute to successful adolescent adoptions and have made recommendations for services based on these findings.

National Youth in Transition Database CCFS is helping SCDSS coordinate federally mandated surveys of youth in foster care to track independent living services provided to them.

Education Coaches This program pairs volunteer education coaches with foster youth who live in group homes, and together they work toward educational success for the youth.
