Dr. Monique Mitchell has accepted a position as Research Assistant Professor at the College of Social Work. Her education, skills, background, and experience are a great match for the work she will be doing in The Center for Child and Family Studies. Monique earned a PhD in Family Relations and Human Development (with a focus on child and adolescent development) at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
Although she will be involved in many projects at The Center of Child and Family Studies, her primary focus will be as lead researcher on the National Youth in Transition Database Project, in which she will help to conduct a survey foster youth at age 17 with repeated data collections on these youth at ages 19 and 21.
