Louisa H. Vann, MPH, CHES

Research Associate


Mrs. Vann develops evaluations for the Center’s training department and for South Carolina’s National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD), a longitudinal federally required data collection of the experiences of youth transitioning out of foster care.

Mrs. Vann obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Wofford College and a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Vann is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) with experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating public health programs. Prior to joining CCFS, Mrs. Vann worked with children and adolescents at MUSC Children’s Hospital and as the Research Coordinator at USC Pediatric Diabetes and Obesity Institute at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.

Mrs. Vann has a passion for helping the most vulnerable children and adolescents thrive in their communities.
