Lewis conducts Quality Assurance reviews for the Department of Social Services where he partners with other team members to review child welfare cases, helping ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines.

Lewis began his career with the SC Department of Juvenile Justice. While employed with SC DJJ, he held the job titles of Juvenile Corrections Officer, Compliance/Medicaid Program Coordinator, and Community Specialist II. His last position of Community Specialist II included administering pre-release and pre-sentence assessments and developing plans for services to include the juvenile’s return to the community.  After his years with SC DJJ, he was employed with Palmetto Health-Healthy Start as a Program Coordinator. There he established and implemented community health outreach programs and plans related to maternal and child health and pregnancy prevention education, as well as male and fatherhood involvement.

Lewis’s mission is to everyday strive to be better than the day before. While on this mission, he constantly strives to help others in ways that will positively impact their lives.
