Claire V.W. Houle, M.A.

Writer and Instructional Designer


Claire works with her team, Instructional Design and Production, to design and create video and interactive solutions for the Center’s partners. Claire writes scripts for and designs video and interactive learning elements and courses for the Center’s in-person and multimedia productions. She conducts project research to assure the most accurate project content. She interviews content specialists before and during video production. She also contributes website content and stories to the Center’s news archive.

Claire earned her B.A. from Emory University and her M.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a Columbia native and has been a writing instructor, mentor, and consultant in higher education and at the professional level since 2002.

For Claire, working to fulfill the Center’s mission to support those who improve the safety and well-being of South Carolina’s most vulnerable children and adults is deeply satisfying.
